My Mother, Betty Hess, first opened the Hess Bookkeeping and Income Tax Office doors in our home in 1960. 65 years later, our family tradition of quality service and a friendly atmosphere remains our standard. Our office is comprised of Enrolled Agents (EAs) and CTEC Registered Tax Preparers. All staff members, including Laura Curtin, EA, are continually taking courses on new tax laws to provide you with the most current advice.

Laura Curtin Ross, Enrolled Agent
I am proud to be part of a continuous family tradition of professional tax service that began when my mother, Betty Hess, opened the doors in 1960. This women-owned business has been a staple in the community for decades, and I officially joined the firm in 1979.
As an Enrolled Agent (EA), I hold the highest credential awarded by the IRS. This distinction recognizes me as a federally authorized tax practitioner empowered to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. I am considered an expert in all types of taxes, with a specialty in individual income tax.
My commitment is to uphold our family’s long-standing tradition of providing expert, personal, and proactive tax services for every client.
